[ENGLISH] In 1945, the end of the war brings a new sense of artistic and social freedom for painter Tove Jansson. As she struggles with her personal life, the melancholic, haunting tales she told scared children in bomb shelters rapidly take on a life of their own. The exploits of the Moomins bring her international fame.

[FRANÇAIS] En 1945, la fin de la guerre apporte un nouveau sentiment de liberté artistique et sociale à la peintre Tove Jansson. Alors que sa vie personnelle la tourmente, elle va donner vie à des histoires qu’elle racontait autrefois aux enfants effrayés dans les abris antiaériens. Ses personnages, les Moumines, vont lui rapporter une renommée internationale.
